My wife and I bought our house in October 2009 and needed to have it modernised as quickly as possible before moving in in early December. We asked for several quotes from different people for fairly extensive work including complete re-plumbing, central heating, two bathrooms, floor sanding and repapering and redecorating the three storey house. Mayfield interiors was the only one that came across as professional, reliable and able to do the work within our budget. All of his regular contractors were extremely polite and efficient and Mike was able to coordinate the timing of all the works to ensure that not a day was wasted. At times there would be labourers, plumbers, joiners, tilers and decorators all working simultaneously and putting in long hours too. 

Communication from Mayfield Interiors was superb. I received almost daily email updates regarding progress. We frequently changed items along the way and we were always kept informed of any cost implications of changes that we made. 

We are delighted with the final result which was on time and within budget, and consider the whole experience to have been virtually painless. I am absolutely certain that if we had not used Mayfield Interiors to coordinate everything, we would have spent twice as much and it would have taken 6 months instead of 8 weeks. The guy gave us a breakdown of what he was going to do with a price for doing it, and he didn't ask for a budget before giving a quote (not an estimate). The price was cheaper than any kitchen place, and they were doing much more for the work. They managed to meet the schedule they set. And he also got us a discount on the tiles we bought. He ran into a couple of problems (the floor wasn't anywhere near as level as we thought, and a gas pipe underneath was a tad illegal) but he let us know about it, the change to the schedule, gave us a cost of fixing them (minimal) and fixed the problems without fuss"
